Being More Understanding

Professors should be more understanding. People go through alot of this in life. Between work, kids and other things it is some times hard to juggle things.

I am not saying they should every excuse go but they should consider the sacrfices people make just to continue education. I feel if the person is TRYING to be an ideal student. The professor should help them be all they can be.

i know personally i too go through things and i am trying to make ends meet and trying to get an education, but sometimes it is hard. Although i know life is not easy. People need other people to help them out or givem a little push , just to make it seem like things are.

I personally love school. and would do anything to succeed. but i too need a helping. i dont think anyone made it far in life alone. Everyone need that steping stool to reach that goal

My Trip to The Library

At first i thought a trip to the library would be boring but i had a great time. looking things up. in the small library was alot of fun. it was also bigger than other libraries. the research library was huge. it funny because i went there thinking they shot, "The Day After Tommorow" there. boy was i wrong

to save the planet i try not to use and throw away so much plastic. i walk alot instead of asking my mom to drive so she can save gas.

i try not to use paper. i barel mail letters , i send alot of emails

Lets Think Green

My mom wastes so much money on gas, being that she lives two hours away its hard to avoid it. but i convinced her to walk or bike ride to the store and park just save gas. i also asked to buy used items so the unnessary materials used. we dont have to re use. Iexplained to her that there are many websites were she can get almost new but used items. We should try to going to garage sales and goodwill to pick up things. we could make gifts and make homemade wrapping paper. she laughed but i explained to he how much better it would be. Dr. Smith says he does not use plastic water bottles, he uses a glass one which is so much better. I live in the city but my mom doesnt. We could always go to a market where fresh products are grown, it may cowst more but the quality is way better. and the farmer get the profits.

In my house Sunday is cleaning day, we pretty much have that area covered. We rarely by cleaning supplys. We try to use whats already in our home. And add one meatless meal per week. Vegetarianism isn’t for everyone, even the most devout carnivores can cut back on meat without changing their style of eating—and save money in the process. Meat requires huge energy inputs and creates waste problems. The factory farms is damaging the environment, and the global nature of the industry creates conditions that promote the spread of diseases such as avian flu or so i read

My Vsit To The A.M.N.H

The trip to museum very exciting , ex specially cause i have never been there. We were given questions by Dr. Smith to answer. We had a question about the greenhouse gasses, which are ,nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and methane. They make up 90% of the earth atmosphere. Greenhouse gasses blanket the earth and keep it 33 degrees Celsius warmer than it would be without these gasses in the atmosphere, that is called the greenhouse effect. At the museum there was a monitor that shows us a graph, and showed us visually how this effected the earth. People call this era of climate change global warming, They say there is a fear that if people keep producing these gasses that it will in a negative way for nature,such as more severe floods and droughts, increasing prevalence of insects, and rising of sea levels. This seems a big scary to me. Although "The Day After Tomorrow" was a movie, it seemed so real and so possible. I mean is the really going to happen if we keep producing theses gasses. I feel it has to be semi true because as my class watched "An Inconvenient Truth" , Al Gore showed a frighteningly similar outcome of what Manhattan might look like. And now that i think about it a glacier did break off in Antarctica. Is this the beginning of the in. I believe movies are based of truth but sold because of the exciting fiction that is put into in. But i haven't watched that movie in years, (OK I'm not that old so i will say a year) and i never stopped to think that we are the cause of it. Will it be so bad that the ice Glaciers melt and animals that need to survive die cause that is there living environment? Or will we just wait until a snow storm cover Greenland and eliminates all of their mankind.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is a colorless, odorless non-flammable gas and is the most prominent Greenhouse gas in Earth's atmosphere. Given this decription of the colorless orderless gas that is dangerous. We as people usually have CO2 detectors in our home we use it to keep from danger. So why it is oblivious to the world that CO2 is hurting our Environment.

I am Actually glad that we had this trip because it gave me a chance to open up my mind and think in a way i have never thought before. All of this makes me want to think greena and stop using plasic and recycle. I want to try to make my world a better place. not only for me but for those way way way after me. But if we keep going at the rate we are goin we are not going to have a world to protect and keep safe

Allegory Of The Cave

WHILE I BEGIN TO READ THE ALLEGORY OF THE CAVE I DID NOT UNDERSTAND IT UNTIL I BEGAN READING THE PLOT. I CAN T BEGIN IMAGINING WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE TO GO THROUGH LIFE BEING IMPRISONED AND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT EXACTLY THE SHADOWS ON THE WALL ARE. NOT KNOWING WHAT IT IS LIKE TO MAKE SENSE OF SOMETHING I AM SEEING. AND IT IS CRAZY CAUSE WHEN THEY ARE FREED THEY STILL CAN NOT MAKE SENSE OF THE OBJECT THAT HAS CAST THE SHADOW. " SOCRATES SAYS THAT IT IS ABOUT EDUCATION AND LACK OF EDUCATION". I DO NOT WANT BE THE ONE TO GO AGAINST THE GREAT SOCRATES BUT I FEEL MORE LIKE NOT KNOW AND WHAT YOU ARE USE TO. IF YOU ONLY ARE YOU TO SEEING SHADOWS. I FEEL IT IS BORING TO IMAGINE THE SAME IMAGE OF WHAT CASTS THE SHADOW. WHEN YOU ARE IMPRISONED YOU WANT TO FIND ANY WAY TO MAKE THINGS A LITTLE BETTER . IMAGINING WHATS NOT THERE IS EASIER THAN REALIZING THE TRUTH. CAUSE EACH DAY YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO A NEW SHAPE, AND YOU IMAGINATION OF THE IMAGE THAT CASTS IT

MY EXPERIENCE IN THE MATRIX

In class we watched The Matrix. To be totally honest i never would have suggested to watch it alone, as in at home . But surprisingly i liked it. I would give it a 7. I expected it to be something really different. I loved how the director viewed the future. And how we separated the two worlds and described why and how they are different. Also the word matrix is a great word to name the movie. A world where you don't know anything about the real world. I am sure some people would like that. But imagine how you would feel if the world was fake and unreal. That means your feeling aren't real. When you cry it isn't real. What you touch isn't real. and the love that you might feel for another human may not be real. That is crazy. In the movie you can understand why they want to protect there world and not subject them selves to a world of fake. In the movie Cyphersold his peers out because the steak in the matrix seems real.

This movie also shows that if you believe you can achieve. Neo did not believe he was the one until he was doubted and wanted to prove to himself. in the end he became the one. I guess it is a message film.
